In Brazil to compete at the Rio International Open, Hillary Williams ended up sidelined by misfortune. The Westside JJ black belt was injured while training for the event. A wrist lock was the culprit, causing a fracture, but her stay in the country is not in vain.

“I’m going to do three seminars: in Mogi das Cruzes, Cuiabá and Campo Grande. Unfortunately, I’m not going to compete this time, but I’ll be there to root for my friends,” she told, showing off her pink cast.

Nevertheless, despite the injury, she hasn’t put off training.

“I’m training, even though I’ll have the cast for three months,” she said in finishing.
